One financial institution has been awarded for the high quality of one of its savings accounts .
Independent financial website Moneyfacts.co.uk handed its 2008 Best Regular Saver Account Provider award to Yorkshire Building Society.
In choosing the winner, the judges examined the competitiveness of all regular savings accounts, examining the interest rate on offer and other factors.
According to Chris Smith, Yorkshire's senior product manager, the award means the firm's Regular Saver account is the most consistent in terms of interest rate and flexible terms for holders.
He said: "In the current very competitive savings environment we are delighted that Moneyfacts has recognised the Yorkshire's account as leading the pack in the Regular Saver account market."
The savings account will continue to offer a great interest rate on a regular basis, he added.
Earlier this week, Neil Cameron, savings manager at Sainsbury's Finance, urged people to check the amount of interest they are getting on their savings account on a regular basis to ensure they are on the best possible deal.
