New savings account launched

A new savings account reward has been launched by the Bank of Scotland to help consumers with their savings.

The financial services company is offering a fixed rate of 6.35 per cent for one year on balances between £100,000 and £1 million as part of the instant access savings account reward.

Commenting on the new savings account rewards scheme, Mike Regnier, head of savings at Bank of Scotland, is delighted to be providing a service which he claims will meet savers' needs.

"Our latest instant access savings account reward offers a cracking rate of interest that is guaranteed and still gives our customers the flexibility to access their savings if they need to," he remarked.

A rate of six per cent is available on smaller balances of £5,000 upwards and customers are allowed to make up to four withdrawals.

The instant access savings account reward is available to savers until September 11th.

Birmingham Midshires recently reported a rise in the number of people saving in Britain this year compare to 12 months ago, with people aged 18 to 24 saving the most amount of money .
