Children will have the importance of making savings highlighted to them, thanks to a new campaign created by Scarborough Building Society.
The advertising campaign, which will support the society's Smart Kids Savings accounts, will feature slogans such as "Stay Out!" and "No Adults Allowed", in a bid to appeal to youngsters.
Scarborough officials also hope that the message of making savings from a young age will encourage parents and guardians to provide for their child's future.
Tony Burdin, head of group marketing at the company, said: "With growing concerns about record personal debt levels and peoples lack of provision for the future, we believe financial services providers like ourselves have a responsibility to encourage people to take stock and start saving."
"It is particularly important that parents begin to set cash aside for their children’s futures."
The government's child trust fund scheme to encourage parents to make savings for their child has been a resounding success, HM treasury recently claimed.
More than three-quarters of parents have opened the savings accounts, which has exceeded expectations, economic secretary Ed Balls remarked.
