Birmingham Midshires has been named the UK's second best provider of online savings.
In a survey of 730 websites, the company's online savings offering was found to be one of the quickest in the country, scoring seven out of ten.
The study was conducted by online research companies Sitemorse and Media Surface.
Birmingham Midshires claims that the result represents hard work carried out by the e-commerce team in making the internet savings vehicle as usable and efficient as possible.
The company notes that recent improvements, which have seen the website jump from 23rd to second place, are a direct benefit to customers with online savings accounts.
Jamie Walker, head of e-commerce, commented: "The site is fast and responsive, which ultimately benefit's our customers.
"The ranking is a fantastic achievement and a credit should be given to everyone who has made the site a real success.
"But we will not be resting on our laurels and will continue to improve the site in the hope of achieving the number one spot next time round."
The company notes that its internet savings account offers instant, round-the-clock access to funds, seven days a week.
