Icesave is part of Landsbanki, who are one of the largest financial services providers in Iceland. Landsbanki were founded in 1886, and have been operating in the UK since 2000.
Icesave itself has been operating in England since October 2006. Icesave provide online savings, and already have 150,000 customers in the UK . Icesave have won awards for their savings accounts in the past.
Icesave aims to keep costs down by not running expensive branches, and providing simple online savings accounts with the support of a UK call centre.
Icesave offer an easy access ISA account, with a high interest rate and protection from Capital Gains Tax. The ISA allows consumers to have flexibility in terms of withdrawals and transfers.
